As the summer is winding down, Fashionistas everywhere are squeezing the last few wears out of their favorite summer looks. I, for one am not looking forward to the day I have to put a jacket on before heading to class. I cannot bear the idea of putting my sandals away for the winter. This Fashionista, though, is killing the transition of the seasons with this effortless weekend look.
Strolling through the New York Botanical Garden, which is essentially an extension of our campus here in the Bronx, there is plenty of style on display. From artists sketching to people on dates, the flowers aren’t the only good-looking things in this garden. Once owned by Fordham, the Botanical Gardens are a gorgeous place to do homework, go for a run, or just get away. In this beyond-perfect look, I spotted this Fashionista studying in the tranquil rose garden.
Although her graphic shirt says otherwise, she was soaking up the Saturday sun in her distressed boyfriend jeans and lace-up sandals. The jeans are perfect for lounging and hanging around on a weekend, and look amazing paired with her bold graphic T-shirt. On her feet, the lace-up gladiator sandals bring the entire look together. Gladiator sandals were huge this summer, and pairing them with jeans is the perfect way to wear them into the early fall. This outfit is great for hanging with friends or catching up on some homework, and can be recreated with ease.
