After a long week of classes, tests, papers and all-nighters, all a girl wants to do is start the weekend off on a feel-good fashionable start. I know that many college students, myself included, fall guilty to rocking the out-of-bed, grudge look on campus when it is a stressful and demanding week. But when that last Friday class wraps up, it is time to take on the town with a carefree mind and a carefully picked outfit.
I found this Fashionista strutting on the streets of Rome in her effortless chic ensemble. On the weekends, everyone wants to look stylish while still being comfy and casual. There is no better way to pull that off than the one, the only, (drum roll please) maxi skirt. This Fashionista chose a sheer, black, pleated maxi and secured it with a brown braided belt. She then paired her skirt with a button-down denim vest, which she so simply tied up to create a feminine touch.
As for the accessories, she went with gold bangles and a red leather bracelet band that gave the outfit that little pop of color. On the other arm she wore a classic gold watch, a versatile staple item that works its way perfectly into any outfit. To help her get through a long day of walking on those cobblestone streets, she wore brown thong sandals with a ridged sole. Her last accessory piece, and my favorite one, is her brown top-brimmed sunglasses that really brought her whole outfit together. When walking under this Italian sun, having a great pair of sunnies is just as important as having a hot cappuccino on your walk to class.
One Simple Change: To achieve a night look, swap the maxi skirt for some black leather leggings and pair them with a cute pair of pumps.
