During the week my wardrobe focuses on professionalism for my internship and casual, yet put together for classes and meetings. The weekend means a time for relaxation and comfort. Weekend wear may be my favorite wear because it is a time dedicated to me. It’s a time when I go shopping or run errands or grab lunch with friends. These events call for my favorite pieces paired with cute accessories.
I spotted this Fashionista the weekend before classes started. She was busy all week serving as an orientation leader so she opted for an outfit that screamed fun and flirty. She needed something practical because she had a number of things to check off of her to-do list before Occupational Therapy classes got back into full swing. Her black studded shorts were a great summer to fall transition piece, just like these festival “shorties” from American Eagle Outfitters. She chose to tuck a floral tank into the shorts for a more fitted look. Try this tank from Forever 21 for a similar style.
She simply accessorized with a black belt, a single braided bracelet and glittery gladiators. The strappy flat was a better option than a plain flip flop. The stylish shoe added a pop to the outfit and allowed for endless comfort. To achieve a similar look, check out this pair from Target. I love the black straps and the three buckles on the outside.
One Simple Change: To transition this outfit from casual weekend wear to a more formal ensemble swap the shorts for a maxi skirt. Keep the floral top tucked in, stick with the strappy gladiators and you now have an outfit ready for a casual date night.
