WHAT TO WEAR: Weekend Wear

As a student in UC Santa Cruz, I always wait for the weekends, a time when I can dress up a little. Just a small reminder, UCSC is up in the forest, and you need to be comfortable to walk the distances when you have classes. So we all save our cutest outfits for the weekend. It begins on Friday, and you can notice everyone is a little bit more dressed up with the weekend vibes starting to kick in. It can still be kind of chilly during the day, so boots are necessary. And what’s cuter than a dress and boots kind of outfit?!

The Fashionista decided to have some fun and show you guys the nature we have on campus. I found her next to the gardening place in school.

This Fashionista was wearing the ultimate Friday outfit. It’s appropriate for classes and fashionable and full with that weekend scene. She was wearing a sleeveless black dress, knee-high boots and leg warmers. You can never go wrong with a black dress. It will always fit, and it never gets old. It’s already summer, so sleeveless was definitely a smart choice. It made the dress look more interesting than just a regular one. And the length of it made her look more sophisticated and mature. The knee-high boots and leg warmer are for the windy Santa Cruz. She had on those big, round shades. It’s the celebrity trying to escape paparazzi look, always turning heads when passing by with them.

One Simple Change: A little black dress is a must on your girl’s night out. Take this outfit and add heels and a colorful bag, and you’re all set to go. I would still stick with edgy and bold heels to maintain that statement. But even classy strap sandals will work perfectly for the look.
