WHAT TO WEAR: Weekend Wear

If you live in Toronto, or really anywhere in Canada, one popular phrase you will hear time and time again is: “How about them Jays?”

Our weekend nights are often dedicated to gathering a group of friends and heading out to catch a local baseball game. This week’s Fashionista has the borrowed from the boys, weekend wear down pat. With temperatures finally starting to rise once again, it is near impossible to resist spending every hour of the weekend outside.

While you certainly want to stay comfy going to a baseball game, as there is bound to be a lot of standing up, dancing and cheering, it is still important to look put together. Therefore, bring in the baseball cap. It is the ultimate accessory for any sporting fan and can cover up a bad hair day when needed. It is also very important for outdoor sporting events, in order to protect your scalp from harsh sunrays.

This Fashionista makes weekend wear fresh again, as she prepares to tackle the big game. She started off with a heather gray, patriotic tank to keep cool in the Toronto heat. She kept the look relaxed with a pair of ever-popular boyfriend jeans and comfy Converse. In order to show her team pride, she threw on an eye-catching, brightly coloured Blue Jays hat. Finally, to top off her game-ready look, she kept the accessories to a minimum with a dainty ring, paired with a cross-body bag to keep her hands free for cheering.

One Simple Change: You could easily transition this outfit from day to night by losing the hat and changing the tank top to something dressier for a night out dancing or drinks with friends. The Converse would keep your feet comfy all night and with a swipe of bright lipstick, you’re set to stay out until morning.
