WHAT TO WEAR: Weekend Wear

The sun is shining, class work is dwindling and weekends are becoming more and more free! Take advantage of this weather and free time to dress up and hit up downtown Rochester for fun festivals, art shows, movies and dates in the park.

I saw this Fashionista strolling to an art festival. Her outfit is cute and comfortable enough for her to walk around in and participate in some fun arts and crafts. This long sleeve crop top says “spring attire” and she doesn’t have to lug around a jacket with her! The skirt is high-waisted, flirty and versatile enough for any occasion. My favorite detail about her outfit is her cross-body leather purse. It’s a perfect size to carry your phone and wallet and it’s easy to take with you anywhere since you don’t have to worry about losing it. Adding the brown leather to the outfit was also a nice touch of color with the red and the blackish-gray ensemble. Matchy-matchy is not always the way to go, so take this Fashionista’s advice and don’t be afraid to throw in an accessory that might not be the same color palate as the outfit itself!

One Simple Change: For even hotter weather this summer, switch the long sleeve crop top for a basic tank top and a silky black kimono. An easy, breezy kimono is a great spring essential that you can throw on with almost anything. Plus, when you’re walking in the wind, it instantly makes you feel like you’re wearing a Wonder Woman cape.
