After a long, monotonous week of classes, work and assignments, the weekend is something that we all look forward to and deserve. Although it always seems that Monday comes just a day too soon, those two days of freedom are something that we all hold dear. So during the weekend it is important to get out of that “wearing gym clothes to class” funk and let your inner Fashionista and Fashionisto make their grand appearance.
I spotted this Fashionisto in his weekend ready attire on campus this week wearing a white V-neck paired with an opened slim-fit floral button down. Wearing smaller print floral patterns is a great way to add some detail to an outfit without looking like you are ready to board a Hawaiian week long cruise.
Wearing faded colored pants, such as the ones worn by this Fashionisto can add some color to your outfit without going over the top. If you aren’t ready to commit to bright colors, neutral ones are a great option and are more unique than jeans. Both his belt and shoes featured canvas and leather material, which added some dimension and texture to this ensemble. As a final touch, his gold watch is a great way for men to wear a useable accessory.
So I hope that you all take this weekend as a time to explore new patterns, colors and fabrics that may not be the most convenient to wear to that 8:00 a.m. lecture on Monday morning. Enjoy your weekend!
One Simple Change: Swap the Vans for some tan brogues for a boy’s night out downtown.
