WHAT TO WEAR: Weekend Wear

What to Wear

Though summer vacation is in session, that does not mean we have all the free time we were expecting. With summer internships taking over more time in our lives than we like, weekends are the perfect chance to be dressed more comfortably. Being comfortable is a necessity with the summer heat rolling in. A great way to enjoy weekends away from the typical business ware is by pairing a casual pair of shorts with a T-shirt.

This Fashionisto has created a great weekend look that allows him to be comfortable yet still stylish. Being comfortable does not have to mean wearing a pair of sweatpants and an old T-shirt from your high school glory days. It can be a nice pair of khaki shorts and a V-neck. By keeping your weekend outfits still a little dressy, this will allow you to be prepared for any situation. You’ll be ready for anything from running errands to a laid-back bonfire night with some friends. Creating an outfit similar to this Fashionisto’s is a great idea in case you are in need of having your outfit last all day and night. An outfit like this is also perfect for the hot summer weekends as keeping with light fabrics will allow your body to stay cool while still looking put together. Sporting a pair of boat shoes instead of wearing a pair of gym shoes is an easy way to top off a comfortable weekend look while still looking up together.

One Simple Change: If this look is a little too causal or not bright enough for your typical weekend wardrobe, try replacing a plain V-neck with a patterned shirt or maybe even a Hawaiian shirt. Hawaiian shirts seem to be making a come back this season and there is no better time to try one out than during the summer! If you are looking to dress your outfit up a little more try a button-down, but keep it untucked. This will allow your look to transition from day-to-night more smoothly and will keep you prepared for those cool summer nights.
