As my second year at school comes to an end, I can safely say I have full-heartedly tried my best (and for the most part successful) to avoid sweatpants to class. Trying to incorporate a piece of my style into my lazy 9 a.m. wardrobe has been quite the challenge, but a fun one! I enjoy being comfortable in what I’m wearing just as much as the next person, especially when sitting in a classroom for hours. In addition to my everyday school outfits, I have to think about outfits for dinner, going out and the weekends as well. I think it wouldn’t be a far-fetched assumption to say my time spent in my closet is starting to surpass the time I spend studying. It’s official — I have a fashion problem!
Between pretending to do my schoolwork and online shopping, all of a sudden it’s the weekend! Whether it’s lounging around to relax from the night before or finally going to the brunch you promised your friend three weeks ago, a beautiful Saturday afternoon means a springtime outfit to go with it! This Fashionista is wearing one of my favorite staples to bring out as soon as the warm weather hits. A maxi skirt is the perfect piece to spend your weekend in! Paired with a white crop top and light cardigan, this Fashionista’s Saturday plans just got trendier. A light cardigan is also one of the best staples to always keep in your closet. An easy and instant body warmer for those chillier summer nights while simultaneously keeping the outfit fabulous!
One Simple Change: Running errands and don’t want the bottom of your skirt to drag on the floor? The perfect way to spice up your outfit and make it more practical is to tie a knot at the bottom of the skirt. A simple knot at the bottom instantly hems the skirt without abandoning your stylish look!
