Spring is here and the sun is shining! With winter temperatures still lingering in the air, Fashionistas and Fashionistos are slowly transitioning their wardrobes to the new season. This spring we’re definitely going to be seeing plenty of colorful prints and solids paired with soft pastels.
To sneak in a variation of the forever popular springtime floral print, this Fashionista chose a detailed print button-down full of this year’s popular spring color trends. This Fashionista is layering her graphic button-down under a statement sweater found at Madewell. The phrase “c’est bon” is an appropriate way to describe her eclectic outfit. The various textures found in each layer complement each other without being too random or too bulky. Her French inspired pullover is just thin enough to be layered under her denim vest with fur trim.
When accessorizing an outfit with so many different elements it is could to tone it down. Her large statement ring may be hard to miss but the neutral shade in the stone gives it very subtle details. When you make your way down to the fringed loafers you’ll notice that the colors in the shoes are translated perfectly with the rest of the outfit. Including the pastel mint knitted circle scarf she created herself to keep warm that is identical to the blue stripes on the front panel of her loafers.
One Simple Change: This outfit is already versatile enough but to transition into running errands, I would suggest losing the fur-trimmed vest to lighten the layers as the temperature rises.
