Mondays are always the worst. Nobody likes Mondays (and if you do, you’re crazy) and the reason is because it’s the farthest day away from the weekend. The weekend is what gets us through the dreaded week of lectures, presentations and homework. It’s also what motivates us throughout the week. I make so many weekend plans from going shopping with friends to promising myself that I’m going to spend my Sunday watching New Girl re-runs. After a rough week, it’s nice to just forget about classes and do whatever your heart desires.
It’s always nice to be comfortable on a weekend just going around and hanging out with your friends. A lot of people, however, mistake comfort with sloppiness and that’s just not okay. Trust me, there’s nothing I love more than my favorite pair of sweatpants, but they do not belong outside. There’s a way to be both comfy and stylish if you decide to venture away from your bed. Keeping things simple is another key factor in helping you stay comfortable. A comfy sweater and cute jeans, like this Fashionista shows, is the best way to achieve comfort for almost any casual occasion.
As much as I drool over heels, boots are always a great way to go because they can be cute, comfortable and supportive. On a simple day, use some adorable boots to spice up your outfit and show your style. This Fashionista has some awesome combat boots. She also added a Steve Madden bag, which is another great way to add some color and style to your outfit.
With the weekend almost in reach, make sure you keep comfort, style and simplicity in your mind when you finally decide to go out and are searching for something to wear!
One Simple Change: Try a top like this, layer it with a leather jacket and you’ll be ready for a concert!
