WHAT TO WEAR: Weekend Wear

Weekends: the time when your outfit should be both comfortable and stylish. Additionally, that ensemble should be able to handle almost any activity you decide to do. Running errands? Going to the mall? Spending an entire day at the DMV? This outfit should be perfect for that.

It is a common saying that the past repeats itself, and when it comes to trends, that saying could not be more true! Vintage trends are always being revamped and have been showing up more often. When I think of vintage fashion I automatically envision a young Kelly Kapowski with her high-waisted shorts and tight-fitting crop top; however, when it comes to male fashion, I come to a blank. Despite my lack of imagination on this topic, I found someone who incorporated basic pieces that were inspired by the past.

This look is a combination of neutrals and versatile pieces that come together and represent past trends. This Fashionisto wore sunglasses inspired by the 1950’s and paired it with retro ’80s-inspired suede sneakers that have become a phenomenon once again. He also incorporated distressed jeans to give the ensemble a more casual look. The hat he threw on was a classic baseball cap which gives it a more laid back feel, allowing it be comfortable in any situation. This look is ready for anything that can come your way even if it is indoor or outdoor!

One Simple Change: Have a long day of running errands and have to go back out in less than 5 minutes? This look can be changed from a day to night outfit with a quick fix. Rather than wearing the ripped light wash pants, pair this outfit with dark wash jeans for a more classic/mature look, take off the hat and you are good to go!
