WHAT TO WEAR: Weekend Wear

With the white cherry trees blossoming and breezy air blowing, weekends during spring are ideal for mini outdoors adventures. The outfit inspiration I’m picturing for those adventures involves light layering, feminine color palettes, comfortable shoes and light accessories. It is definitely not a crazy trend, but it is style friendly with your own closet.

This Fashionista showcases a spring weekend look similar to what I pictured. She wears a dusty pink blouse paired with a pair of black skinnies. She layers a draped, gray coat over a refreshing neutral to complement the soft tone in her blouse.

When it comes to accessories, this Fashionista is carrying a precious box tote. The gold hardware on this bag is a bit edgy, but the light peach leather is a gentle color base. It’s a great idea to carry a mini-sized purse on weekends compared to our large bags we use on the weekdays that are full of school necessities. It literally takes the weight off our shoulders. She decorates the neckline with a delicate, wishbone necklace adhered by tiny pebbles. Lastly, she wears a pair of neutral New Balance sneakers—a perfect thing to add to be comfortable walking around the city.

Personally, I can seen this look being perfect for strolling around and exploring a park. I just recently noticed how the nature of New York City is much under appreciated compared to its streets, buildings, shops and restaurants. The change of atmosphere can certainly put a peace of mind in your daily life.

One Simple Change: Going to a fancy Sunday brunch instead? Simply switch the sneakers to lace-up flats dress up your look.
