WHAT TO WEAR: Warmer Tones for Winter

February 21st, 2017 at 2:00am

Wintertime is all about keeping warm and staying neutral with your wardrobe. Although neutral tones, such as nude, olive green, and beige, are totally my go-to colors, there is nothing wrong with spicing up your winter attire with pops of color.

I am all about keeping it simple and classy, but adding your own flare to an outfit is what makes it stand out. By standing out, you could simply throw on a brightly colored cardigan or add a classy red lip. I believe it’s all about making a statement!

This Fashionista embodies the phrase “make a statement” effortlessly. In this look, she kept it simple with a heather gray long-sleeved mock neck top with light blue high-waist jeans and lace-up cognac booties. The tribal print cardigan gives warmer tones and the pop of color I mentioned before. It definitely makes a statement! She finished the look with gold stud earrings and a gold watch with a cognac band.

This casual and simple outfit could also go from class on a brisk day to a movie date. For the accessories, this look would look perfect with a statement necklace or a pendant with a beautifully colored stone. In Mississippi, we might get a bitter cold, cloudy day or a not-so-cold day; whichever weather card is dealt, you can make any look wintertime-savvy by adding a bright trench coat or a colorful tribal print cardigan like this Fashionista did.

Like I always say, any outfit can be #RAD by adding your own unique touch.
