WHAT TO WEAR: Vacation

June is flying by, and as the summer days pass by one after another, you can find yourself falling into a routine. For me, it seems to be class, work, gym and repeat. Now don’t get me wrong, a routine is pretty useful when trying to get myself to stay focused during the summer. But every now and then, a little summer getaway is always necessary. Kick back, relax and see what this Fashionista chose to rock on her weekend vacation to Put-in-Bay!

Days at the bay are spent pool hopping while the evenings are for dancing the night away with your girlfriends. First and foremost, grab your favorite bikini because that is definitely the base of any on-point vacation look. This Fashionista chose a basic black bikini from Victoria’s Secret that also doubled as a bandeau. She then decided to go out of the box and try the popular yet controversial overalls trend. Her shredded and distressed pair were purchased at Burlington Coat Factory, proving once again that you don’t have to have Kendall Jenner’s bank account to rock the latest trends.

For the accessories, she chose to play up the ever so RAD ’70s trend by pairing a black floppy sun hat with circle sunnies to give the look a more relaxed and laid back feel. As for the shoes, she could have gone with a classic platform to play up the ’70s vibe, but instead went for a black leather pair of gladiator sandals that are definitely a better choice for walking around the island.

If you are struggling to make your vacation outfit stand out from all the pool coverups and basic T-shirt and shorts combos, take a page out of this Fashionista’s play book. You will without a doubt stand out from the crowd and have everyone wondering just who that girl in the fabulous outfit is!

One Simple Change: Are your girlfriends ready to hit the town? Noe problem! Just swap out that bathing suite for a funky crop top and you will be ready to take on the PIB night life!
