Vacation, vacation, vacation: that’s all we think about once summer hits and we toss all our books aside. We are about half way though the summer for most of us college students and many of us still haven’t taken a trip. Summer is about vacationing and I think that’s why most people like summer so much. Everyone can relax and take a load off from all the high stress from internships, work and school. Vacations are great because you get to free yourself from everything and let your style shine.
This Fashionista is on vacation from Las Vegas, Nevada and I thought her style was so cool that I couldn’t resist but to ask her if she could be my Fashionista for this week. Her gothic hippie style, as she describes herself, is very unique to me because she showed me a different way to dress up a skirt. Then, I remembered that in the fashion industry anything is possible.
While I asked her a few questions regarding her style, she told me most of her outfit that day came from Nasty Gal and Urban Outfitters. Her taste of choice on styling her outfit seemed effortless and natural. She paired her long slit skirt with high top Converse and peeking Huf socks. As for her upper half she teamed a plain white short top and layered it with a knitted bra top. Something as simply layering can add great definition to the entire look.
There is no such a thing of having a certain style on vacations; it’s more of dressing up what makes you feel good and happy. Lesson here is to have fun on your vacation and most importantly have fun dressing up how you want to.
One Simple Change: You’ll be ready to go shopping once you swap out the slit skirt for some high-waisted jeans and exchange those sneakers for a pair of black flats.
