WHAT TO WEAR: Vacation

With summer coming to an end, it’s always nice to take one last vacation. Whether it is a beach vacation, weekend getaway or simply a staycation, compiling outfits is always one of the most enjoyable parts. Vacations allow you to experiment with your style. I often like to wear more laid back pieces, like drapey pants and skirts and pair them with dressy or unique tops. Accessories are often key to vacation ensembles and can range from a trendy pair of sunglasses to a hat or clutch you may not typically wear in everyday life.

I love this Fashionista’s vacation look because it is relaxed and also incorporates trendy accents. Her breezy skirt is the perfect length for the beach or an afternoon shopping. She also makes her basic gray tank top a bit more interesting by knotting it to the side. With celebrities like Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid rocking the knotted shirt, it has quickly become one of the summer’s hottest trends as women are looking for a way to rock their basic tank tops and T-shirts without their outfits appearing boring.

This Fashionista incorporated some vacation vibes into her outfit by rocking her gorgeous hat. With not many chances to wear straw hats like this in your everyday life, be sure to take advantage of your getaway to rock great accessories like sun hats and fedoras. Lastly, her cross-body bag and sandals are the perfect pieces to complement the look because they provide pops of green and gold without being too overpowering. This Fashionista did a great job of experimenting with the pieces in her wardrobe in order to adapt them to the laid back atmosphere of the beach, which is really important any time you travel to a new area.

One Simple Change: If this Fashionista wanted to go straight from the beach to a girl’s night out, she could easily adapt her look so that it is appropriate for the evening. She simply has to remove the hat, add a statement necklace and switch from sandals to heels.
