WHAT TO WEAR: Vacation

Can you believe it’s already the end of July? This summer is flying by! School may be fast approaching, but there is still time left for one more summer trip. So, pack your bags, Fashionistas and Fashionistos; we’re going on vacation!

Before catching our flight to a tropical getaway, we need to solve the struggle between wanting to look fabulous and wanting to be comfortable. Lucky for us, this Fashionista has the answer to the fashionable traveler’s age-old dilemma.

The centerpiece of our Fashionista’s outfit is a palm tree print dress. The dress is made of nylon, which perfect for travel as it is both crease-resistant and machine washable. Also, the design of the dress itself makes it a quite versatile piece that can be worn for a variety of vacation activities, whether it is going out to dinner or shopping for souvenirs. The drop-waist and cap sleeves create a classic silhouette while the ruffled hem adds a girly flair.

No outfit is complete without an accessory or two. Our Fashionista opted for a wide brim hat and a pair of large frame sunglasses. When it comes to keeping cool and deflecting the sun’s rays, nothing is better than sunglasses and a hat.

The trickiest part of vacation styling is definitely choosing a pair of shoes. We tell ourselves that we can walk around in our high heels or uncomfortable sandals, but we’re left with aching feet and more than a bit of self-hatred at the end of the day. To avoid this situation, give wedges a try! Wedges are very chic and provide plenty of support, perfect for exploring.

Now, it’s your turn! Book your ticket, grab your passport and set off on a trendy trip.

One Simple Change: Heading out with the girls for a summer celebration? Swap out your daytime wedges for a pair of heels, ditch the hat and sunglasses for earrings, add a clutch and you’re ready to go! For a more dramatic look, alter your makeup by creating a smoky eye or sporting a bright lip color.
