If there is one awesome thing about summertime, it’s that it is the perfect time for vacations. With perfect weather, an adorable summer wardrobe and zero school work, who wouldn’t want to have a little carefree vacation time?
Where you travel to vacation greatly affects how you pack. Generally, I like to travel to places with cool site-seeing and lots of fun things to do. This kind of vacation, of course, requires quite a bit of walking and being under the hot sun. This Fashionista wore exactly what I would wear on my average fun vacation day in the summertime.
Since it’s generally hot out, try to avoid denim shorts. I find that they always get on my nervous if I’m sweating and on-the-go a lot. Instead, try these adorable lightweight elastic shorts. They’ll keep you cooler and they won’t kill your vibe, no matter how long you’re out on the town. With that, pair a basic white T-shirt and a denim jacket. The denim jacket is convenient because it offers some protection for those of us who need to reapply sunscreen every 30 seconds, seriously. However, if it’s too hot for a jacket, you can go without it or switch it out with a cute denim vest. This Fashionista’s bag is absolutely perfect for my kind of vacation day. She wore a small cross-body messenger bag. This is convenient because it’s not too heavy for those long outings, but can still hold all of your essentials for the day.
I think this Fashionista totally nailed a vaycay-ready outfit! She looks ready for a fun lunch date, shopping and walk on the pier! That sounds like my kind of vacation.
One Simple Change: While on vacation you’re obviously going to have some fun nights out! To transition to night time, slip on a pair of heels and trade your messenger bag in for a cute clutch. Say hello to a perfect girls’ night out look!
