WHAT TO WEAR: Traveling

What to Wear

Between planes, trains and automobiles, one form of transportation or another will bring us home to our family and friends for winter break. Lucky for me I only have a two-hour car ride, but I know many people on campus have a much longer voyage home. When traveling anywhere that’s longer than an hour adventure, comfort is key, at least for me, the self-proclaimed queen of leggings. This Fashionista is sporting the perfect outfit for travel while still staying stylish. I always like to wear an outfit that can go straight from the plan to a café or mall.

This Fashionista is wearing a bold statement sweater paired with a classic pair of black leggings every girl has in her closet. The bright neon pink is a fun change for the usual muted color pallet that usually comes out during the bitter cold winter months. She keeps the rest of the outfit simple with a slight edge wearing a skull printed scarf and a pair of studded combat boots.

I always like to travel with scarves because they can easily transform into a makeshift pillow or blanket on cold plane rides. This ensemble is especially perfect for airport travel, as she doesn’t have to worry with taking off metal belts or metal jewelry. I wish all of my Fashionistas and Fashionistos safe travels and a happy holiday this season! Stay warm!

One Simple Change: instead of the scarf wear a jeweled statement necklace and instead of combat boots wear a pair of knee-high riding boots. This look would be great for a casual date night.
