WHAT TO WEAR: Traveling

What to Wear

Ever since my infantile Fashionista days, I have always been slightly jealous of what little effort it takes for a guy to get dressed in the morning. Let’s be honest, a guy can roll out of bed 10 minutes before class and look great when it takes us ladies triple the time plus forethought from the night before. If I had a nickel for every time I successfully rolled out of bed to throw on the first thing in sight, I would be a broke woman.

With the semester coming to an end, most students are planning early travel days ahead to make it home for the holidays. So, this tactic of easy, effortless, comfortable style will definitely come in handy in the future. This Fashionisto’s outfit is a great one to replicate simply because it’s one of the easiest outfits to throw together. Jeans and a T-shirt are universal, but this Fashionisto is smart by keeping his outfit monochromatic. It makes each piece look uniformly put together. The slight variation with the lighter gray T-shirt looks nice against the dark gray hoodie. The gray shoes also add a slight contrast. As the jeans taper around his ankles, the shoes almost giving the look a slight ombre effect.

Maintain effortless sophistication in your look by implementing a monochromatic color palette like this Fashionisto. Sticking to dark colors enhance the togetherness of the outfit. This way you can both be fashionable and comfortable on your trip home for the holidays.

One Simple Change: The jeans are great for finals, but mix it up by swapping the hoodie for a navy cardigan and a graphic T-shirt. This will add a cool statement and a whimsical statement to the monochromatic look.
