WHAT TO WEAR: Traveling

What to Wear

Planes, trains and automobiles. The holiday season has crept up on us this year, so now it is time to make way to our dearest family and friends’ homes. Whether you’re shoulder to shoulder with friends in a car or flying first class, there are a few things to remember during your travels this season.

While sitting in silence for a few hours on a train or a coach bus tends to be boring for most, this does not mean it’s time to let your style wither away. There are ways to dress comfy while also being chic, and this Fashionista does an excellent job at showcasing the perfect look.

To start, one of the more important things while preparing an outfit that is travel appropriate is to layer, layer and add another layer. You never know if it will be chilly or excessively warm, so always be prepared! The Fashionista I spotted today was on her way to the bus terminal for a quick weekend getaway to visit her family. Loving the colors, she threw on a nice thin sweater first. Really straying away from the black and darker shades, she chose this blue that complements her look and is majorly eye catching. As for pants, she dared to be bold and combined the sweater with a nice pair of corduroys. The purple tone is deep and definitely worth the risk.

As for layering, this Fashionista topped off the outfit with a circle scarf and thick winter coat. On her feet she wears a cool pair of white boots. She chose to accent the shoes with a cute pair of wool socks that really add character to any ensemble. While traveling, never forget to load your mp3 player with tons of great tunes and make sure to remember your headphones. No matter what temperature this Fashionista is faced with, she will be prepared and feel great while traveling!

One Simple Change: Replace the sweater with a sheer blouse and funky pair of earrings, while also swapping the combat boots for a nice pair of heels, and there you have a great outfit for girls’ night out.
