WHAT TO WEAR: Traveling

Spring Break has passed and summer is so close that we can almost touch it. The sun is finally shining, which means its officially time for the Double D’s: darties and day trips! Long car rides can be fun if the right friend has the AUX cord, and when dressed comfortably. The last thing anyone wants to deal with is the uncomfortableness that comes along with sitting for just too long, squished in the back seat of the car, next to a cooler. It’s understood that looking cute is a must when you reach your destination! This is especially true when there’s an unspoken agreement between the entire friend group that an Instagram photo-op is a must. There are ways to still look cute and casual while being comfy and not falling victim to the photo ready fit.

This Fashionista embodies what I’ve coined the relaxed boho. Yes, the boho style is normally quite breezy and free, but this is a more watered down version. Instead of boho-chic, think boho-casual. Her looks seem’s very effortless. The leggings and jersey material sweatshirt are both very minimal garments. However, when layered with the jean jacket, it adds versatility and slightly dresses the outfit up. The weather can be unpredictable, depending on how Mother Nature is feeling. Equally, the car ride can change temperatures too. With a jean jacket, this Fashionista is ready to conquer the day no matter what the elements are.

Nudes are very in this season. I mean, did you see Yeezy’s latest fashion show? Kendall Jenner is also frequently seen sporting the light wash jean, so the color tones in this Fashionista’s sweatshirt, backpack and sunnies could possibly cause her to be the new inductee of the Kardashian-West family. Her accessories are subtle, but add only enhance the feel of her outfit. Not only is this outfit fashionable, but also functional for that this “sun-to-rain-in-an-instant” weather that we have been experiencing this season.

One Simple Change: Want to look ready for a movie date? Ditch the TOMS shoes for black, leather over-the-knee boots. Then, swap that backpack for a large, colorful statement bag for a pop of color. Throw some bouncy curls in your hair, and you’re ready to go!
