WHAT TO WEAR: Traveling

From the Editor, What to Wear

Over the next few weeks, college students are beginning to flock back to campus after winter break. Some lucky Fashionistas and Fashionistos are finishing packing up for their semester abroad. Whether hopping in a car or on a plane, one rule remains the same—traveling is not an excuse to dress like a slob.

When I came across this Fashionista, I was impressed by how her outfit was so polished yet easy and comfortable. Polish. Ease. Comfort. Three important principles when dressing for traveling. Her maxi skirt is a great option for long travel days. Maxi skirts take all of five seconds to pull on and are instantly feminine. Layering is key for traveling. This Fashionista layered a unique denim vest over a basic white T-shirt. Her top is fitted without being tight.

Her footwear is also the perfect travel companion. Who are those women who wear five inch feels to the airport? Don’t stress yourself or your feet out while traveling. Stick to a simple flat or brogue. She topped her look off with simple necklace and a classic Alexander Wang bag that is large enough to fit the essentials.

Polish. Ease. Comfort. Check. Check. Check.

One Simple Change: Heading to see one of your favorite musical acts soon? This looks is practically concert ready! Swap out the denim vest for a leather one for a more nighttime, rockstar look.
