If you’re just venturing onto your spring break or you’re on your way back to the chilly weather, traveling attire is muy importante (channeling my Cancun spring break dreams). It’s ideal to be comfortable and simple, but also cute, just in case you have to run to an event right when you get there. Plus, there’s always so many #selfies when traveling with friends.
This Fashionista came back to the crummy D.C. weather wearing the perfect traveling look. I’m all for accessories when traveling, especially soft ones to use as pillows on the plane ride, so her scarf stood out immediately. Her wool infinity scarf was layered on top of a vintage-style burgundy sweater, also a perfect item to travel in. The Fashionista kept it simple with a pair of super versatile dark skinnies and gold cap-toe flats. When traveling, also keep in mind what you pack. I tend to wear my chunkier clothing on the plane rather than having it take up room in my bag, as this Fashionista did with her sweater and scarf.
While it is spring, a scarf is always a necessity when traveling. You never know how chilly the car or plane will be, or if you will need something to drape over your shoulders on the chilly nights of your vaycay. While the weather is warming, your scarf of choice does not have to be a chunky wool scarf like this Fashionista’s. A beautiful silk, paisley scarf is a perfect addition to your traveling wardrobe and allows for more patterns and texture to be added into the look. If you aren’t into the silk material, a light, cotton wrap-around scarf in spring-inspired colors works for your upcoming trips. Scarves can always be used to add a little color and diversity to any dull outfit.
If you’re back from your spring break and preparing for your summer trip, or just taking off on a trip with all your besties, be sure to always dress for the occasion!
One Simple Change: Change out the sweater for a beautiful blouse and you’re ready for a casual date night!
