WHAT TO WEAR: Transitioning

Washington D.C. weather lately has been giving us all whiplash. Last week it was 75 degrees in February, but today I have to wear a coat and gloves? It’s insanity! If you feel weird wearing your sundresses in the winter, this Fashionista shows a couple of ways how you can more easily transition for the weather.

This Fashionista looks super trendy with all eyes on her neck scarf. Whenever I try to wear them I look like a flight attendant, but she shows how you can easily incorporate them into an everyday look. She matches the base color of her scarf to her top, a simple, white V-neck blouse. The shirt is tucked into a black A-line skirt with a cute diagonal zipper detail which brings a little edge to the outfit. To keep warm, this Fashionista adds a vintage, oversize denim jacket and black tights. The jacket is casual but cool and keeps the look from looking too dressy for class. Her tights have a fun detail going up the back, which adds an element of uniqueness to the outfit. The look is finished with a pair of classic black booties with buckles that add to the edge of the skirt but are softened by the blouse and neck scarf. She effortlessly pairs pieces that you would not expect to go together with each other, and looks put together and cool.

Residents all over D.C. are scrambling to dress for the weather while still keeping in mind what season it technically is. This Fashionista shows just how cool a warm weather outfit can be.
