WHAT TO WEAR: Transitioning into Sunny Days

Out with the dreary weather, in with the dresses! My favorite part of warmer weather has to be the fact that I get to pull out my favorite dresses, skirts, and rompers. In my opinion it’s so much easier to throw these on while still putting together a presentable outfit. For this reason, I had to take a picture of this Fashionista who had happened to come up with the perfect winter to spring combo. The worst part about this time of year in Jersey is how unpredictable the weather can be—one day everyone is out and about wearing shorts and crop tops and the next day were lugging out our jackets.

This outfit is perfect for those of you who miss pulling out those dresses when it’s not quite sundress season yet. First, she is wearing a tight mock neck dress, and despite the lack of tights, the ribbed, knit texture of the dress is there to keep her warm. In addition to this, she also choose to top the dress off with the classic army green jacket, a perfect choice for walking in between classes and when it gets a little chillier in the evening. With this, she chose to match a cute high heeled black pair of booties—perfectly fitting for this time of year. This Fashionista teaches us how to work with the unsteady weather and brings out my excitement for the spring time! Although the transition between seasons may be a difficult time for our wardrobe, remember to get creative and prepare yourself with layers to get you through the next couple of weeks.
