WHAT TO WEAR: Transitioning into Fall Florida Style

Picture it: you’re looking out your window, the leaves are changing and you step outside feeling that crisp breeze; fall is in the air. That means sweater weather! Well, not in Florida, I step outside and I try not to melt into a huge puddle of sweat.

That is why I am here to show my fellow southerners how to dress like it’s fall when it’s really not. Even if you’re not a boy, a girl could easily take this look and give it your own girly twist.

This Fashionisto is keeping it simple, yet stylish. Starting from the top of his outfit, he is rocking a lightweight blazer and a plain white T-shirt. A blazer is a staple in anyone’s wardrobe and it’s great because if it gets too hot you can just take it off!

Like a true Floridian, he is working out those chubby shorts. Even if you are one of the lucky ones who gets to participate in the season of fall, you could easily swap those shorts out for some jeans or leggings.

To put his own southern twist, he is giving me Salt Life realness with his Sperry Top-Siders shoes. He says they are also a staple in his wardrobe and he wears them with practically everything. You can keep it casual with sneakers or dress it up with some timeless oxfords or classic boots.

The final touch to keep it understated, a chronograph watch. Boys, listen up!!! Accessorizing is everything and more. It is what makes an outfit and everyone should do it.

Just because we can’t have fall does not mean we can’t pretend. Happy fall, Style Gurus!
