WHAT TO WEAR: Tailgating

Now that school has started again, the fall semester brings many fun events with it, the most important being football games. Now if you go to WKU, you know that a football game for students really means tailgating for two or three hours before the game starts, and staying for half the game if the weather is good. Tailgating is the most fun part of the game, whether you tailgate with the campus ministries, clubs or Greek organizations. I found this Fashionista walking around with her friends at one of the fraternity tailgate sections, and I am really glad I did because I just adore her outfit!

The normal tailgate attire for our football games is a girly red dress and cowboy boots or wedges, but I love that this Fashionista goes for a trendier look. She pairs a striped T-shirt dress with black booties and a cute leather bag. The black and white stripes in the dress look stylishly different while still creating a look of school spirit. She rocks the longer, high-low shape of the dress, and her cute short hair-do and sunglasses complete the look. Her lack of jewelry or any major accessories keeps the focus of the outfit on the dress, which works to her advantage. The light material of the dress is also perfect for the hot end-of-summer afternoon that the tailgate occurred on.

One Simple Change: Want to take this look from a breezy summer outfit to a cozy fall one? You can do that with a simple change. The dress and black booties are versatile enough that if you put black tights under the dress and wear a black longline cardigan over it,  it will be warm enough for the colder fall weather, but still effortlessly stylish!
