WHAT TO WEAR: Summer

Summer is a time to blast Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood” with the windows of your white Mustang rolled down and your hair blowing in the wind. It is the season of bright bikinis, rooftop stargazing adventures and shaved ice on Saturday nights. Every summer, I create a bucket list that I want to finish, but this is the year that I actually intend to complete the list. One thing on my list is to road trip! No college experience is complete until you have ventured to a different city in a car with your closest friends. I recently took a mini road trip to San Diego to visit one of my best friends.

In coming to sunny San Diego, I was inspired by the different styles I saw. Everyone was very laid back, and their styles reflected that. That is not to say that the natives are not stylish—they just have a very different vibe than picture-perfect Orange County locals.

This Fashionista combined her relaxed personality with a cute, church-ready dress. She wore a black dress, complete with white polka dots. The cut of the dress was very flattering, emphasizing the smallest part of her waist and giving her an hourglass figure. She mixed up the accessories, wearing a collection of silver rings and gold earrings. Lastly, she rocked a black satchel and red lipstick.

This outfit is perfect for a gorgeous day in southern California. It is comfortable, yet fun and flirty. If you want to look your best, take a few pointers from this girl who knows how to work when standing next to a pink wall!

One Simple Change: Going on a date with the guy of your dreams after your day of errands? Switch out your flats in favor of wedges and stand tall as you work that outfit. He’ll be impressed.
