WHAT TO WEAR: Summer

After the drive, unloading of the car and the hours spent baking in the sun the last thing anyone wants to do is get all made up! Going to the beach is an all day ordeal and after a long day of swimming and shell searching, being comfy is key. This Fashionista knows how to pull off post beach look by being comfy casual. The cotton tank top is a beach essential and comes in handy when the heat is winding down and you want to show off that summer glow. Couple a tight fitted tank top with some flowy shorts and you’ll have this Fashionista’s effortless beach style. These draw-string shorts have a small pattern on them, which gives the look some pop without clashing with the ribbed texture of the top.

While flip flops are good for the beach you should always have a pair of sandals to change into so your feet stay supported and comfy. A neutral shoe will go a long way during the summer in Florida; try to find a pair with some interesting detail to really pull the look together. A word of advice from a Floridian: buy a pair of plain flops for the beach so you don’t ruin your nice sandals with sand and salt water.

Remember, the beach is a place to kick back and relax. Don’t worry about fixing your face up with makeup or primping our hair with product. Chances are all of that will wash off the moment you step off a hidden sandbar and plop into the ocean. Keep your skin clean so it can soak in some of the vitamin D from the sun and the salt water will act as a natural cleanser! As for the hair, beach curls are the only way to go when you’re on the Gulf Coast.

One Simple Change: If you’re planning on going to a bar or club near the beach switch out the shorts for a flowy skirt and the sandals for wedges. This will keep the comfort level high and you’ll be feeling the summer vibes.
