WHAT TO WEAR: Summer

September 24th, 2015 at 2:00am

The summer is drawing to a close, but our favorite summer outfits will carry with us through fall. It’s sad to see those summer trends go: those daring, bright colors and short sleeves as the weather starts to cool down in the northeast. College students are taking advantage of wearing their shorts and T-shirts one last time before the transition into fall begins. Let’s face it, it’s hard to give up summer because we wait all spring semester long for it to come. We’re trading in our beach days for our 10:00 a.m. classes or our summer jobs for club meetings. The best part about the beginning of the school year is it allows us to showcase all those summer purchases we didn’t get to show off yet. Our summertime steals are breaking the rules; we’re wearing white after Labor Day. This Fashionisto, rocking bright shorts like they’re never going out of style, isn’t letting the end of the summer dim his outfit.

Adorned in Ralph Lauren, this Fashinisto is the definition of American fashion. He’s bringing his prepster style to Hofstra University. The bold, yellow shorts and white collared shirt are the perfect combination to wear to any end of the summer event. They allow this Fashionisto to have a pop of color that reminds us of that summer sun. This outfit is a replica that men such as Chase Crawford or David Beckham have worn to show off their Ralph Lauren pieces. This specific outfit is completed with one perfect accessory to tie together the outfit look, the Ray-Ban sunglasses. This classic eyewear will keep the sun out of your eyes even after summer has passed. To finish off this look, Sperry Top-Siders are worn to seal the prepster deal. This Fashionisto is ready to take on the world in style.

One Simple Change: Fall is coming sooner than you expected? Whether it’s just around campus or spending some time away, try switching out the brightly colored short for a khaki pant to showcase a warmer look for the changing of the leaves.
