WHAT TO WEAR: Summer

July 7th, 2015 at 2:10am

While we all enjoy a fancy night out, dressing up in our little black dresses and elegant pumps, most summer days are not about that. Not at all. The first thing that leaps into mind when I think of summer are definitely those casual, carefree moments. Whether it’s taking an impromptu stroll out in the sun or chilling with friends on the beach, it is time to give the dressier section of our closet a temporary break.

Decked out in all the summer essentials, this Fashionista was eye-catching in an effortless way. She was rocking an adorable strapless sundress. The elastic band cinched in at the waist and accentuated her figure. The loud pattern kept the dress as the center piece of the look. The warm tone complemented her tan and gave her skin a nice glow that we all desire in the summer. Her cross-body bag was also a nice brown that echoes the dress perfectly. As for shoes, the Fashionista opted for another absolute summer essential: gladiator sandals. They added a bit of an edge to a flowy and balmy outfit. Her beachy waves were a finishing touch that completed the look. She also mixed string and metal necklaces together for an eclectic vibe, while keeping consistent with silver accessories, the cool tone balancing out the warmth of overall look.

One Simple Change: Decided to turn a casual day into a night out? Even such a comfortable dress could still work! Swap out the cross-body bag for a minimalist clutch and the sandals for a pair of patent leather heels. Add a black velvet floppy hat for some texture and an air of sophistication.
