WHAT TO WEAR: Study Group

What to Wear

Nearing the end of April, the home stretch is in sight. Before you start looking forward to sweet summer there are undoubtedly several hurdles to cross, and very little time to relax. With projects, presentations, papers and tests all piling up, chances are the stress is getting to you.

Instead of succumbing to the stress, not only in schoolwork, but also in style, keep your life nice and tidy. Look and feel positive with a great outfit every day, and keep on top of your work by organizing productive study groups with your friends and peers. I was just so lucky to catch this Fashionista on her way to a study group in the perfect outfit. Her outfit was organized and clean, perfectly representing her ideal state of mind in this busy time of year. She keeps everything cool and comfortable so that she can focus on studying and absorbing knowledge.

This outfit is the perfect combination of minimalism, comfort and style. When going to a study group you want an outfit that won’t distract you while working, but will still look great when you go to do something after. This Fashionista layered a pretty black blouse over a perfectly fitting pair of GUESS jeans. As I always love to emphasize, fit is your best friend. If your clothes fit, you will always look your absolute best, rather than putting on an old T-shirt or sweatshirt. In the end, I also find that when I put more effort into my look, I feel better. This can even be achieved with classic basics like a black blouse and jeans.

This Fashionista added some personal style in the form of classic, but modern pieces like a jacket with leather accents and colorblocked flats. Keep your color palette monochromatic and use interesting detail and fabrics to look absolutely effortless. I love the way this Fashionista shows off her personal style with her unique jewelry pieces, like her girly bow earrings, and accessories like her glamorous sunglasses. It gives the perfect personal touch to such a classic outfit. Her Longchamp bag adds an academic touch and carries everything she needs for a day of studying. Be yourself, put in the effort, keep studying and you’ll make it through the end of the year flawlessly and stylishly too.

One Simple Change: Transition this look to a girls’ night out with some sassy wedges, a chiffon blouse, a bright purse and just a dash of glitter. Don’t be afraid to let loose and dance the night away. Steal some attention with a killer outfit and request your favorite songs from the ‘80s to keep the party with your best friends going all night long.
