Spring Break is the perfect time to test drive some new looks and mix and match some of your favorite clothes. It is also the time to catch up on the latest trends and shop during all of the free time you have!
This spring break I traveled to San Francisco where I witnessed some of the craziest and coolest fashion I had ever seen. People were dressed in head-to-toe prints and colors and layers. They didn’t even care if it matched or not! By the end of the trip I was wearing my green printed crazy pants with my purple floral patterned scarf, and I thought I looked fantastic. While you may not be up for completely miss-matching, spring break is the time to experiment and try out some new looks.
This Fashionista wears an awesome peplum top—a super flattering and chic trend for this season. The top is made of a stretchy cotton and adds some texture into the look with its stitched surface. I love Amanda Uprichard’s Cotton Stretch Twill Peplum Top. It’s fun, bright and perfect for spring break attire! Rock any peplum top with a pair of shorts or jeans, and it doesn’t matter what you ate for lunch, you’ll look good!
This fab Fashionista also wears a pair of white jeans she cuffed at the bottom. While some say not to wear white after Labor Day, I think vacations are good excuses to bring ‘em on out! When the sun is shining and ocean is glistening, no one wants to be caught dead in dark colors. Maybe I’m bias, but I love white jeans and would wear them year-round if that were fashionably legal. Joe’s Jeans has some amazing printed jeans for the spring season that are definitely worth checking out; however, their white jeans are my obsession. The Slim Fit Optic White are my favorite for this season. They’re the perfect length, fit and super comfy!
Finally, this Fashionista completes her look with some bling. Her sparkling flats add some fun into the outfit and her necklace is a bold pop of color. These accessories pull the outfit together and bring it from boring to fabulous. To add an even better pop of color to any outfit, check out the ASOS PRIORITY Pointed High Heels. Their neon heel and multi-colored floral toe is the perfect pop of pattern and color for a simple “top and jeans” look! They’re also super comfy, perfect for touring your vacation location or walking around your hometown over break!
Just as this Fashionista did, a big statement piece to top off your exotic spring break look is necessary! Anthropologie has awesome bold necklaces that would be perfect for the outfit. My favorite is the Leo Pendant Necklace. It’s super out-there but so cool and trendy. The yellow would look amazing against the black peplum and it would be such a risky, one-of-a-kind piece.
spring break is your time to take your fashion sense a little further while no one is there to judge. Go crazy with the details and patterns. Mix and match colors and prints, and rock some crazy statement pieces. When you get back to school, you may have a completely new style to bring with you!
One Simple Change: This can be an adorable outfit for meeting your boyfriend’s parents! Say you aren’t going to dinner, but you’re meeting them over an afternoon lunch. This is an adorable and conservative look they would find super cute and girly! I’d suggest not going with the crazy heels and necklace if you were going to meet them, though; keep it simple instead!
