WHAT TO WEAR: Spring Break

What to Wear

Spring has definitely sprung in Nashville. The weather is nice, flowers are blooming and everyone is ready for summer. There are all kinds of exciting things happening as the spring semester wraps up. People are getting internships, finding summer jobs and, most importantly, going on spring break!

It’s easy to imagine what you might wear on the beach. Everyone loves their favorite bikini and cover-up. But sometimes it can be difficult to decide exactly what to wear shopping, out to dinner or anywhere else that’s not the beach. I saw this Fashionista around campus and thought she had the perfect outfit for spring break weather. The short sleeves make it cool enough for the hot day time temperatures while the bright jeans offer warmth for those chilly ocean breezes.

I love how this Fashionista used color, sparkle and accessories to make her outfit fun. The neon pants are super trendy and can brighten any day. The striped shirt is sparkly and matches the pants perfectly. The neutral colors tone down the neon while the texture and sparkle of the sequins add a sense of uniqueness to the outfit. The accessories are minimal but make a good impact. Her bubble necklace, which is also very trendy, adds a little something to the simple neckline. And her metallic sandals pick up the gold tones in her top and make her look spring break ready!

One Simple Change: Unfortunately, every week is not spring break, but this outfit could work for many other occasions. As summer gets closer and closer, everyone needs to be gearing up for a heat wave. This Fashionista is sure to be cool and fashionable if she just trades her neon pants for shorts. This way, she’ll be staying cool but looking hot on any summer day!
