WHAT TO WEAR: Spring

As the snow finally melts away and the temperature rises even just a little bit, the weather is becoming more bearable on campus. Fashionista/os all over are beginning to shed their layers and wear lighter clothing that is still suitable for the chilly weather. Maybe this is just my opinion, but my favorite time of the year is when I am able to bring out my colorful spring clothing to show off all over campus. Not only does wearing brighter colors make you look good, but it makes you feel good, too!

I spotted this Fashionista on campus and thought that she had the perfect outfit for the transition between winter and spring. One of the keys to this tricky temperamental temperature is layering a few light pieces on top of each other for a cool, composed and fashionable look. This Fashionista started her layering with a plain long sleeve white shirt. This shirt served as the baseline for the rest of her outfit. On top of that, she threw on an olive green coat that was lightweight enough to wear in the spring, but it was still thick enough to cut the chill of the wind. With this, she wore a pair of plain black leggings, which are a staple in every girl’s wardrobe.

Personally, my favorite part of this Fashionista’s outfit are her studded flats. Flats are the go-to shoes in the springtime because your feet are not trapped inside of heavy boots, but they are also not going to be cold in the cool temperatures. I think that her flats really bring out her personality with the gold studs. The white lining on them also matches her shirt, which brings the entire outfit together. To finish accessorizing, she wore a gold statement necklace and a matching gold watch. These finishing pieces tied together with the gold studs on her flats as well.

This Fashionista definitely chose the right outfit to wear in this weather. By layering her shirt and coat, she could easily take the coat off if she gets warm and throw it back on when she is chilly. She is ready to tackle any weather change while looking incredibly cute!

One Simple Change: Do you have a presentation coming up in one of your classes? If you ditch this coat and switch it out for a tan-colored blazer, you would be all set and ready!
