WHAT TO WEAR: Spring

Spring has certainly sprung here at Marist College. We are lounging on the green grass in better spirits and, of course, are sending our winter wardrobes home in exchange for our spring ones. One clothing item girls are most excited to wear when the weather really starts to warm up is dresses. Dresses are easy, breezy and beautiful.

This Fashionista wasted no time in breaking out her sundress on the first beautiful day. The fit and flare silhouette is not only super flattering, but it will not be too difficult to sit out on the lawn or walk to class. The short sleeves and the buttons down the front and collar make the dress super feminine and appropriate for a variety of occasions.

Chambray shirts have been one of the biggest trends over the past couple years, so this chambray dress is a great warm weather alternative. One of the great things about chambray is that it can also work as a neutral in your outfit because it pairs so nicely with a large variety of colors. Chambray is also versatile in that it can be dressed up or dressed down with accessories.

She chose to keep her look more casual and comfortable with minimal accessories. She finished off her outfit with brown strappy sandals, perfect for walking around campus, and brown sunglasses. As far as jewelry goes, this Fashionista chose to wear three different rings. Wearing a ring or two in the past might have gone unnoticed, but recently, Fashionistas have been piling on the rings, and it is really making a statement.

One Simple Change: When it gets chilly at night, throw a cropped sweater or cardigan over the dress to keep yourself warm. Stick the collar out of the sweater or cardigan to keep the outfit looking polished and put together.
