WHAT TO WEAR: Spring

If there is one thing I have learned from living in Colorado, it’s to never put away your favorite sweaters until it is well and truly summer. Springtime in Colorado usually means snow one day and sunshine a few days later. In fact, we experienced winter, spring and summer all in the same day last week. Needless to say, it can become difficult to plan ahead in terms of wardrobe. But fear not, for this week’s Fashionista shows you how to put a little spring in your step, whatever the weather might bring,

By keeping her look practical and simple, this Fashionista was able to beat her weather woes in style. This oversize sweater is not only perfect for a chilly afternoon rainstorm, but the color is right on trend for spring. We saw variations of the same rich yellow in the Michael Kors‘ spring 2015 ready-to-wear show, as well as the Cushnie Et Ochs spring 2015 ready-to-wear show. Our Fashionista incorporated even more on-trend color with flirty turquoise nails.

These Hunter Boots fill the requirements of practical footwear, while channeling an effortless cool vibe. Tell the ever popular (and insanely back ordered) duck boots to step aside. The Hunter boot is more versatile in it’s multiple pattern and color options, and its lightweight frame can transition between the seasons in a snap. The ensemble is complete with a sleek nylon tote bag, with a zip closure to protect all of your essentials.

In keeping her look non-fuss, our Fashionista was able to get through the most insane weather Colorado has produced all year without even batting an eyelash. Beat your own weather woes and showcase your favorite on-trend colors with pieces that are both practical and stylish.

One Simple Change: If the weather heats up and summer shows its shining face, swap the leggings for a pair of cute denim cut-off shorts. This pair with lace detailing adds a feminine touch to contrast with the stark practicality of the Hunter Boots.
