WHAT TO WEAR: Spring

If you took a step outside you would never believe that the spring equinox is upon us. We might be ready to break out the sundress and pastel shorts but Mother Nature is still holding on to winter. Forecasters are predicting snow for next week so we definitely won’t be ditching our coats and pants just yet.

This Fashionisto is sporting the perfect ensemble for the current weather. Although, our down coats and peacoats aren’t required anymore, its still pretty chilly and you definitely need a jacket when heading outside. His jacket from Nike is what caught my eye in particular. It reminds me the neon windbreakers you would wear to a ’90s theme party, except its modernized and more refined with a navy and white contrast. There is a similar jacket from Nike has the same jacket concept but mimics the color blocking from the 90’s. This jacket would also be perfect for the spring transition. I appreciated the style risk he chose by pairing this daring jacket with just a simple pair of khakis. He said his favorite khakis are from J.Crew. His dark brown leather boots similar to these boots from Express, were a nice contrast with his light brown pants. I’ve said it before, but I absolutely love the man boot trend. That being said, I think this is the perfect transition outfit from winter to spring.

One Simple Change: This Fashionisto could easily trade the jacket for a knit sweater, similar to this one from J.Crew and be ready for date night, where a dressier look is appropriate. The sweater would prove to be just as functional as his Nike Windrunner and provide just enough warmth to brace these mild temperatures.
