WHAT TO WEAR: Spring

It’s spring time, as well as the end of the semester. The time of the year where everything is blooming and blossoming. School is ending and everything is coming out of hibernation. The spring clothes are coming out and the winter clothes are being put away. It’s the time of the year when it’s warm enough to wear one layer of clothing without feeling like you’re going to freeze walking around campus.

When thinking of spring, what comes to mind for you? I think of bright colors, crop tops, high-waisted shorts and skirts, sunglasses, the smell of fresh cut grass, flowers and firewood. I could go on and on with a list of things that reminds me of spring because this season brings me so much happiness. I love walking around campus because I get to see and smell these things. I passed this Fashionista on my way and her look reminded me of all these thoughts of the spring. She has on a crop top and a high-waisted skirt, which is a highly worn clothing item during this season. The sunglasses, scrunchie, thigh-highs, cross-body purse, denim jacket and patent leather shoes can be added to give an extra splash of colors and patterns to an outfit. I especially love the scrunchie, thigh-highs and denim jacket because you can essentially pair them with almost about everything. This outfit can be warn in many colors and variations. In the spring, the weather at times can still be cold, so the knee-highs and denim jacket are a good add on for some warmth.

One Simple Change: Thinking about going out for a night on the town? Switch out the denim jacket for a leather jacket, remove the thigh-high socks and add a pair of black strappy heels to give this day look to a night look.
