WHAT TO WEAR: Spring

Finally, the cold weather is behind us but now we are in that awkward time of year when Mother Nature just can’t seem to decide what mood she’s in. You finally decide to pull out that trendy maxi dress you’ve been waiting so patiently to wear and then, boom, snowstorm. You can never get too comfortable here in Happy Valley because the weather is extremely bipolar. This uncertainty creates frustration for many when trying to figure out what in the world to wear on this random April day.

With these erratic weather conditions, this Fashionista knows how to construct a polished, yet comfortable, ensemble. On top she wore a lightweight, oversized long sleeve shirt. She layered this simple white button-up with a navy blue bralet, incorporating different textures and adding a pop of color. This long sleeve T-shirt is an extremely versatile piece of garment because it can be worn during any season.

This Fashionista paired her oversized, white T-shirt with distressed denim jeans. I don’t know about you, but I have been very loyal to the denim look this season. Denim goes with just about everything and is always very popular.

Her white Converse are a lightweight shoe and perfect for the mile-long walks you must take to get anywhere in State College. White Converse are also very comfortable and match well with any color scheme you might be going for. Trust me when I say these shoes will come in good use.

The accessories really threw an elegant twist to this simple ensemble. She accessorized this look with a silver Michael Kors watch along with a David Yurman Bracelet. She also wore two necklaces, one made by a student at Penn State and another she bought from a boutique.

One Simple Change: If you’re planning for a night out downtown, add a lightweight coat with a pair of wedges or heels and you instantly take this look from day to night.
