WHAT TO WEAR: Spring

To be honest, this winter was pretty painless for New Yorkers. Besides Winter Storm Jonas, we lucked out on a mild couple of months. Nevertheless, I think it’s safe to say everyone is still ready for the warmer weather that comes with spring. This season is one of my favorites for fashion because we can start to showcase our outfits again without worrying about compromising fashion for warmth. So break out your florals and put away those boots—it’s springtime.

This Fashionisto is definitely ready for the changing of the seasons, as seen in his outfit choice. Goodbye are the bulky winter jackets; instead, say hello to something lighter, like this ’90s-inspired windbreaker. The purple and bright pink in this jacket are perfect for spring. Much like the groundhog seeing his shadow, pastels are also a definite sign of spring. This Fashionisto’s sweatshirt adds a nice touch and goes well with the colorfulness of his windbreaker. Instead of wearing plain jeans, this Fashionisto adds character to his outfit through a pair of dark wash overalls. These are a great seasonal transition piece because you can layer a sweater or a T-shirt underneath, depending on the weather. For shoes, this Fashionisto chose white Converse. These sneakers are essential in everyone’s wardrobe, but white Converse are especially great for spring. This Fashionisto completes his look with a patterned hat, mismatched earrings and his film camera. After I snapped pictures of him, he was off to take photos in this lovely spring weather.

One Simple Change: Switch out the pastel sweatshirt for a collared shirt for a slightly dressier look that would slay the brunch scene.
