WHAT TO WEAR: Something Simple

The beginning of the semester is such a drag. Here are some common questions on the first day: Why do we have to go over so many syllabuses?  Why do teachers think it’s okay to start chapter one?  Why does this day feel never ending? By the end of the day you are already over the fact that you have so many classes.

I’m walking on campus, over the fact that it’s my senior year and I still have 9 a.m. classes. This is when I run into this Fashionista while walking to class. Come to find out that we have three classes together. So I had to take it upon myself to talk to her. When you go to the Fashion Institute of Technology, it’s hard to find those dressed in a simple outfit that is still executed so effortlessly.

This Fashionista was very simple and clean with her outfit. To be honest, sometimes that is okay. At the end of the day you are with the same people, in the same classes, while sitting in the same seat every week.

Due to the unpredictable weather we’ve been having in New York, this was a refreshing outfit to see. The simple details really brought the outfit to life. The ensemble featured black ankle flare pants, a neutral toned textured jacket, and olive green top. To bring more life to the outfit, it was paired with snakeskin print shoes that had a small heel. The Fashionista also had a vintage black hat that gave off a cool hippie vibe. To top it off, she paired it with thin rimmed gold glasses.
