It’s officially my favorite time of year, the holiday season! Aside from baked goods, Christmas movies and spending time with family, I’m sure you wouldn’t be surprised to hear that my other holiday favorite is shopping! I know many people just groan at the thought of facing the mall at this time of year, but I love it and all the chaos that comes with it. I honestly think that having the right outfit to face the crowds can make your holiday shopping experience just a little easier.
I, for one, always like to dress up a little to go shopping but come the holidays I throw that idea out the window. Heels on Black Friday? No thank you. This Fashionista has the right idea when it comes how to approach the perfect shopping outfit. In her cute and comfortable ensemble she could probably go all day!
A nice cozy sweater is always ideal at this time of year. There’s such a myriad of different kinds of sweaters out there that it is nearly impossible to not find one to fit your liking. I personally have a serious love of oversized sweaters, the warmer the better. What I love about this Fashionista’s sweater is the pattern on it. Without being an outright Christmas sweater, it still has that festive essence. If you’re looking to emulate this in your own look try a Fair Isle sweater or get one for someone on your holiday shopping list!
Jeans are such a vital garment in one’s wardrobe. I can’t stress their versatility enough, but you can add shopping to the list of occasions jeans are appropriate for. I love the socks and boots trend but I especially love it with combat boots. The combat boots gives the overall look just a bit of an edge but the socks tone it down and make it more casual. I also love the fact that this Fashionista’s boots are maroon. It’s a subtle pop of color but it makes a world of difference. If you’re looking to invest in a pair of combat boots you can’t go wrong with Dr. Martens or Steve Madden boots.
So when you have to hit the mall this season be sure to follow this Fashionista’s lead and I’m sure you’ll do just fine. Good luck everyone!
One Simple Change: Trade the jeans for a pair of leggings and throw a scarf on top of that sweater and you’ve got yourself a super comfortable look for traveling this holiday season.
