Now that New York Fashion Week is over, many of us are scouring the stores for the latest trends and collecting new pieces for our spring wardrobes. With all the buzz about fashion week starting to subside and the cold weather starting to begin, we start to see more of the fall street styles emerge.
This Fashionista is taking full advantage of some of the fall trends: the leather skirt, the studded belt, the booties and that beautiful burgundy color that is so well associated with the fall season. And while dressed in this fall-appropriate outfit, this Fashionista is doing some more of her fall shopping.
Although we may have already done our back-to-school shopping, there are always some last minute items to pick up. I found this Fashionista headed back to campus after a shopping trip in Lower Manhattan. While shopping, it’s important to be wearing an outfit that is flattering, comfortable and also stylish; this Fashionista excels in all categories!
One Simple Change: This fashion-forward look could be altered to fit into a professional environment as well. Instead of the cotton long sleeve shirt, try wearing a button-up or tailored shirt. Add some black tights to your look as well. You could keep playing with the different textures and try sweater tights, or just a pair of tights with a design in them. You could also just stick with a simple pair of black tights to polish off the look. These simple changes would make this outfit appropriate for an internship in a professional environment.
