It’s that time again. It’s time to go shopping, or as I would like to call it, my weekly job. Let’s not pretend, Fashionista/os, at least half of your pay check is spent towards buying new clothes and whatever you seem to find while you’re “window shopping.” Now that we are deep into the summer, shopping seems like one of the best ways to make time pass. However, I could be wrong. Perhaps it’s only me that can’t resist constantly shopping, but something tells me that many Fashionista/os understand my struggle. It’s almost as if my paycheck is whispering in my ear and telling me that I need to treat myself, and if it actually is, I think it’s right.
Shopping is the perfect treat, especially since most students seem to have no money during school. As a dedicated Fashionista, I feel like it is my duty to always show off my style and try to improve my fashion whenever I can. Since Vermont seems to be stuck in winter for nearly nine months out of the year, it seems appropriate for Vermonters to show off their summer style for the very temporary nice weather.
This week I spotted a very fashionable Fashionista on her way to go shopping. As you can see, she already looks fabulous; however, there is nothing stopping her from continuing to shop to find more fabulous outfits because that is just the cycle of fashion. Being a Fashionista/o comes with a responsibility, and that responsibility entails a lifetime of honoring the “must be fabulous” code. Clearly, this Fashionista is strongly abiding by it.
This Fashionista was spotted wearing a white quarter-sleeved top that is very simple to build off of. Solid colors are a great base, especially for wild patterns or other bold colors for the color-block look. The shirt is very comfortable and is smart to wear when shopping because it is very easy to take off and put back on when trying on different clothes.
This Fashionista chose to pair her top with some navy high-waisted shorts that put an emphasis on her long beautiful legs. Another valid reason for wearing shorts while shopping is so that you can get your tan on while you’re walking from store to store. Why not kill two birds with one stone?
For shoes, this Fashionista is sporting some pink loafers with a cute tiger print on top, because all that walking around calls for some comfort.
One Simple Change: When the night finally comes to play, and you’re about to have a casual date night, switch out the loafers for some wedges. Also, don’t be afraid to throw on a black shimmery top to add some sexiness to your outfit.
