Retail therapy, probably one of my favorite activities when I need to take a breather, relaxes and distracts my mind from stressful things like finals. I feel like every one needs to do it once in a while. My favorite kind of shopping starts in the jewelry department, move myself slowly to shoes, handbags, clothes and end up in makeup in search for my new perfect shade of lipstick. I seriously think I have an obsession with lipsticks. I probably have all shades of reds, pinks and corals. All this is, of course, is done while I sip on a delicious iced tea to maintain hydrated while I search for the next thing that I don’t need but I must have, because lets be serious…who doesn’t need another pair of shoes? Or if you don’t have a big budget, I always like doing what my mom would call window shopping; where I would just walk in all the stores, do my wish list and have that list ready for whenever money would come my way, or any kind of celebration!
This week’s Fashionista was dressed perfectly for a shopping day! One of the things that is very important is what you wear while shopping. I’ve come to learn that It is important to dress comfortably but also smart. It is all about not layering. I usually love layering, but when shopping, the less is better because you are going to want to be able to try things and taking off every layer of clothing can be annoying. I’ve lost very precious sweaters due to this. This Fashionista was the perfect example. She was wearing a very cute tribal print top, a really cute pair of shorts and very cute sandals. If you want to recreate this look you can find a similar top from Forever 21 here, super cute shorts from ASOS.
