School has finally reached that point where students are crawling to make it to May: think The Hunger Games meets spring semester. Everything seems to be hitting us at once. With tests, presentations, internships and trying to turn everything in on time, college becomes both chaotic and stressful. Good ways to relieve stress are to wake up in the morning and listen to a fun song, meditate, eat a healthy breakfast and put on a super cute outfit. I love to listen to “Good Vibrations,” by Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch while getting my morning started. The song gets me hype and ready to tackle the school day.
The weekend is the most exciting time for a college student. The weekend is a time to relax and hang out with family and friends. The best thing to do during the weekend is shop. Shopping is my favorite past time and should definitely be made into a sport. As Carrie Bradshaw would say, “Shopping is my cardio.” I could not have said it any better.
I spotted this Fashionista for the perfect shopping inspiration. She captured all the right components of chic. Flawless and chic are the words to live by when trying to look effortless. She paired an open-front beige blazer and a basic white camisole with printed shorts. Printed shorts are essential for the spring and summer. They can be paired with graphic tees and crop tops, which are perfect for festival season. Her sandals give the outfit a bohemian feel. What I really loved about her ensemble, was her accessories. The right accessories are what bring the outfit together. This Fashionista kept her jewelry simple with gold bangles and a gold Marc Jacobs watch. Michael Kors is known for his classic American sporty aesthetic and this purse showcases how simplicity can be elegant.
One Simple Change: Swap out the blazer and camisole for a printed crop top. With festival season approaching, fashion is one of the main aspects people look forward too. This look allows you to mix prints and have you feeling like Solange Knowles’ little sister.
