What to Wear

Now that spring break is over, we find ourselves back on the third floor of Library West with our papers scattered around the table listening to the same song on repeat. Not to mention, we all claim post-traumatic spring break disorder.

Coming back to school means coming up with new outfits. It’s easy and convenient to take a plain top and match it with a cool bottom. This Fashionista, who is a fellow Style Guru herself, rocked a white leather asymmetrical skirt with a loose black long sleeve top from American Apparel. What is crazy about this top is that it can be worn with almost anything, whether it’s hanging out, going to the gym or even going out. It’s also really comfortable which is a huge plus. I love feeling comfortable while still looking cute. I think that is the most important factor in choosing an outfit. Although her outfit is solely black and white, it looks edgy and far from plain. I personally love the color black. I think it not only makes everyone appear thinner but also cleaner and more put together. The fact that there wasn’t any writing or art on the clothing items makes both the black and white stand out. Her big circular sunglasses complemented her outfit and made her look more chic. They also added a bit of a mysterious gesture to the look. In addition, her little black booties looked amazing with the black and white complexion.

One Simple Change: You could add a red pocketbook to spice up the outfit with some color. The color red would be a statement.
